This is an essay comparing the power of Religious, and political power in the middle ages, and how they clashed together.

Throughout the middle ages, there were 2 main actors that had control. These demon military units had a lot of conflict with each other. The 2 Powers were Political and ghostly leaders. Also, the office of these leaders changed throughout the halfway Ages. pontiff Gelasius I suggested that originally the two powers, religious and political, were meant to be separate and equal. The religious power believed that everyone was equal, kings and peasants a comparable. They were all under the alike law, such as wedding party and religious practices. On the other hand, Political powers believed that people were divided into classes, and they used systems like Feudalism. The Religious power established courts, to sample and punish those who go against the law. The religious leaders were more stringy than political, in the backbone that the pope could excommunicate the king, this made it so his Vassals did not shake up to obey him. After a period of time, the two powers did not get along so well. The Church began to dislike the power that kings had over the Clergy. The pontiffs feared the power that German emperors had over Italy. The Kings constitute the church service officials, and the kings controlled them. In 1075, Pope Gregory VII banned emperors power to identify the church officials.
