Diversity in American Society
In the early nineteenth century, American society began to become more diverse than what it had been in the colonial and revolutionary eras. The United States was expanding westward, with the addition of the frontier. The United States stretched from the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Mississippi, and was even beginning to go beyond the Mississippi. With that expansion came several variances in American society. The bracing frontier was an addition that changed American society, and brought with it new cultural and apparitional variety. There were many differences, from the way that religion was viewed and practiced to the twist of living, and even what they did for entertainment. The cultural and religious differences among the western states and the late England states became particularly defined during the nineteenth century.
One of the main differences between the west and the eastbound was training.
