Introduction

The agency was created in 1883 beneath the name United States Civil avail Commission. In 1979, the name was changed to the Office of Personnel Management. The agencys primary responsibilities are to administer the health and retirement benefits of federal employees, along with security clearances.
The mission of the Office of Personnel Management is to build an effective federal civilian workforce. One major(ip) organization within the Office of Personnel Management is the national Employees Insurance Operations. The purpose of the Federal Employees Insurance Operations is to render guidance on proposing and developing new curriculum-related legislation, writing broadcast regulations, and developing policy guidance for Federal agencies, insurance carriers and program beneficiaries(Office of Management and Budget, 2011).

In addition, the Federal Employees Insurance Operations administers the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program, which contracts with various health insurance carriers to impart benefits to federal employees.
The Audit Resolution group works under the Federal Employees Insurance Operation. The group has the responsibility of resolving size up findings identified in final audit reports issued by the Office of the Inspector General. The group prepares written analyses of the auditor and the health insurance carrier position on the auditing findings and presents a recommendation to the espial Officer on the best solution for resolving audits.
