When I was a young girl, every year the Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey fair trains would of all time park across the street in bm of our house. I remember when the trains started coming up the track they would pass away in so slowly and seemed to go on forever. The silver gray trains illuminated our whole street in silver with defective red letters that said Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus. Watching the animals being put down was always amazing to see; being we lived in the city. We would always go across the street to sit on the overgrown docks just to watch them all unload from the train. Not a lot of people around the world were able to genuinely meet the performers as much as me and my sister; D 1lla did.
Circus people were always fun to be around it was corresponding having a family you seen once a year. Every year we would association on the dock and wave at the trains as they pulled in. The audio of the whistle and the steam from the train was always so bum we would put our fingers in our ears trying to block some of the volume. in one case the steam engine stopped it became very silent as we all sat there in anticipation for one person to exit the train. As they exited from the train we would all enjoy at them welcoming to our neighborhood in Binghamton, N.Y.
They would usually bonk over to greet us while the stage manpower would take care of the animals. The first daytime they arrived they were usually expeditious setting up their practice nets and fences. We were able to play with the jr. children while their parents and older children were setting up. In the afternoon, of their first day of their arrival they would plan a circus parade so the animals could walk to the arena. This would give the animals exercise after their long jaunt on the train.
