Tibet's Fight for Autonomy

Tibet was once an independent kingdom. In October 1950, Mao Zedong, launched an infringement into Tibet. Since the invasion took place Tibet has been occupied by mainland China. Tibet is currently under the constitution of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC). The Tibetan governance is led by the Dalai genus Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. His current position on Tibet is non for full independency from the PRC, but for an autonomous status. This government is exiled in Dharamsala, India and is commonly referred to as The Tibetan Government in Exile. Since 1959 when the Dalai Lama fled to India this government has formed the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). The CTA keeps a c areful watch over the thousands of Tibetans exiled in India. The CTA sees the occupation of Tibet by the PRC as a military occupation and affright to the history of Tibet. Globalization is taking place and has put Tibet on an international watch list.
